For as long as I can remember, I have been writing stories—crappy perhaps—but as at time of writing them as a young boy, they were great!

Down the line, around 2011, I decided to take those stories to the internet—and save trees 😊. And as the years rolled by, I experimented with many platforms and learned web design—to design or tweak sites to work for me.

I dabbed into the Blogspot platform in 2013/2014 and soon enough drifted from writing stories—didn’t entirely gave up though—to tweaking blogspot themes⚒️ to selling them—for peanuts—and writing tutorials about them.

And finally, I took to WordPress in 2017 and never looked back—still maintaining my old habits of writing a bit of code every now and then—hopefully, I will be sharing some of them here on the blog from time to time. 😎

I believe I have enough technical knowledge and skills 🔩🔧to manage any WordPress site and have come to love exploring WordPress, which is why I am taking the next step to be a WordPress Virtual Assistant, so that I can work with you, doing all the WordPress stuff for you while you focus on building your blog or business. 💃

Who is a Virtual Assistant?

A virtual assistant (VA) is a person who provides support services to other persons/businesses from a remote location.

Who is a WordPress Virtual Assistant?

A WordPress virtual assistant is someone who manages your WordPress blog or sitefrom setting up to design to customization to maintenance. As your WordPress V.A, I will handle all the blogging technical stuffs of your site while you focus solely on creating your content (writings, podcasts, etc).

Why hire a professional wordpress virtual assistant instead of DIYing?

So many reasons. You’re going to be busy running your business, serving customers and clients, and won’t have time to deal with website updates, security, and more. You might not even be able to handle some technical aspects by yourself and learning it might take your time.

How do you charge?

My fees are based on a monthly retainer (with exception to one-time jobs like blog setup/redesign, plugin setup, etc.)

What price point do most project start at?

Small tasks like a plugin setup begin at $29, while large projects like blog setup or redesign start at $250. My main service however (WP technical VA) starts at $57 (with exception to discounted offers) .

Why do your prices start there?

  • Clients who decide to work with me might be new in the game, and might not be having any ROI from their blogs…yet. With an affordable price, they can be encouraged to outsource this task and spend time on other tasks such as creating and growing their plan.
  • Though offering these services for 3+ years, this platform is new and having discounted/affordable prices is part of the marketing strategy to encourage new clients to work with me and build my portfolio. So it’s a win-win.
  • Also, trying to be a digital nomad, I am currently in a developing country where the cost of living here can “comfortably” be afforded by the rates I offer.

How much can you build or redesign a WordPress site for me?

It depends on the type of site and the kind of work needed to be done on it. The price usually ranges from $500-$2,500.

Do your charges cover domain, hosting and any other expenses?

Usually all these will be explicit covered in the quote I send to you—putting into consideration the costs of your choice of registrar, hosting company and/or other costs.

How long will it take to setup and deliver a WordPress blog?

You get to have your sleek website within 2-4 weeks after contents have been sent in…and you are entitled to up to 3 revisions.

What payment method do you accept?

I currently accept Payment by PayPal, Card and Bitcoin.

What’s the process like for a new client?

Every new client follows this process:

  1. The client contact me via email or social media
  2. I reply and try to know the needs of the client
  3. If the needed service is obtainable, I develop and submit a quote
  4. If the client is happy with the quote, we kick off

As part of my content updates, can you create the content for me?

No. Updating your content does not include writing content or sourcing images for you. I simply edit your site to add the content you’ve provided, based on your instructions.

I need a specific integration or plugin for my website. Is this included?

That depends. I have to access the plugin to see if it’s something I can work with.

Do you offer hosting?

No. I simply take care of the technical aspect of your already established site. However, I can help you with setting up or migrating your hosting with your choice hosting platform.

How will I know what website maintenance you’ve done each month?

At the end of each billing cycle, I’ll send you a report that includes details on the maintenance done, plus the overall state and health of your website.

What happens if my site is hacked or goes down?

While security measures will be put in place to prevent this, something could happen to take your site offline (it can happen to even the biggest, most secure websites). If this happens, I will work to get everything back up and running as quickly as possible.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes you can cancel at any time, as long as you don’t have any outstanding debt.

Can I meet you in real life?

No. I don’t do real-life meetings with clients. But we can happily chat over the phone or Zoom (video call).
